Beyoncé Opts For The Logomania Craze

It's no secret that designers are having a serious case of logomania. Whether it's streetwear brands offering up literal t-shirt labels, or the return of classic patterns such as the Christian Dior logo print, it's safe to say branded fashion is very much in. Fashion labels are embracing their brand identity by plastering their signature logos all over tees, bags, shoes (and much, much more). The latest style savant to tap into the trend? Beyoncé, of course. The singer posted a new look on Instagram featuring a bevy of logo-covered items — and we're here to dissect every piece. Consider it our civic duty.

Posing poolside, Beyoncé is seen wearing a graphic Proenza Schouler long sleeve T-shirt, denim cut-off shorts, a yellow Dsquared2 raincoat (logo on the sleeve!), and a Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons bag in a Monet-inspired motif. While she mixed and matched a lot of logos at once, she made the whole look feel cohesive by finishing it with simple red stiletto stiletto sandals, black sunglasses and crystal jewelry. In case you missed it: This isn't the first time Beyoncé has opted for the logo'd look, either. Just last week, she stepped out wearing a distressed Vogue tee — because once a Vogue girl, always a Vogue girl.

How to Spend Your Thanksgiving Vacation: The Case for Double Masking Your Hair

Among the great luxuries of a long weekend are the untold amounts of free time that suddenly drop into your lap. So how to while away the hours in the most indulgent way possible? One inarguably positive use of that time is a targeted beauty overhaul. By merely passing the weekend navel-gazing in your loungewear, you can tackle the kind of tasks that would usually require a month’s worth of scheduled maintenance appointments—starting with the hair phenomenon known as double masking. By using two treatment masks in a row—one that’s a deep cleansing formula and another that’s ultra replenishing—you can press reset on anything from a dry and irritated scalp to fried ends and color damage. “[It’s like] only drinking water and not eating,” says Parisian super-stylist Christophe Robin of the single-mask approach. For next-level hair “from root to tips,” he insists, “you need both.”

To assure the “perfect nutrition for scalp and hair,” Robin first massages a tablespoon of his own granular Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt into wet strands, starting at the hairline and moving toward the ends. The salt, which breaks down gradually as it’s massaged with water, is a “grandma’s recipe” for absorbing impurities, cleansing the skin, and really allowing the scalp to breathe. Once the hair and head are perfectly clean, Robin reaches for his Regenerating Mask With Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil for phase two. Concentrating the antioxidant-spiked conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends of the hair (with the remainder finger-combed into the roots), he says, will tame even the frizziest, most damaged strands. Best of all, once applied, you have 15 minutes in front of you to do whatever you want—read a book, paint your nails, reorganize your medicine cabinet, all of which can be accomplished with the peace of mind that your party-season hair will be unprecedentedly bouncy and glossy. Feeling thankful yet?

Drake Masters This Sleazy-Chic Menswear Trend on His 31st Birthday

No one does sleazy-chic style quite like Drake. It usually takes the form of accessories, from the gaudy man jewelry he wore to host Saturday Night Live to those cheesy tinted sunglasses he rocked out in at the 2017 American Music Awards. Last night, though, he took it to the next level: When celebrating his 31st birthday at the newly-opened Poppy nightclub in Los Angeles, where he was joined by a gaggle of celebrity friends like Hailey Baldwin and Jamie Foxx, he layered a Tom Ford suede jacket over a knit turtleneck for a perfect mashup of good taste meets bad taste.

Drake swiftly took to Instagram to thank Ford for the “icey jacket,” and frankly, while we couldn’t agree with him more (the emerald green hue was subtle yet unexpected, and the Western-inspired details were right on trend), that was only half of it. By adding Ford’s classic knit underneath, the look took on a dapper quality rooted in the ’70s. These days, very few men can pull off a turtleneck without it feeling fusty, but Drake’s layered approach was more extra than OTT. True to form, he accessorized with a chintzy chain necklace, pinky ring, and a watch for added shine and, of course, swagger.

Saint Laurent Introduces the World to Trinidad’s Next Top Model

Saint Laurent’s casts are always a dynamic mix of models of the moment and attention-grabbing names with rock star cred. For tonight’s Spring 2018 show, designer Anthony Vaccarello and casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro honed in on the current It crowd, with Kaia Gerber, Mica Arganaraz, and Liam Gallagher’s handsome son Lennon all making the rounds. Those big names may get the bulk of the attention, but Vaccarello and Del Moro also introduced a series of newcomers, among them Naomi Chin Wing, a striking 17-year-old from Trinidad and Tobago. By making her debut at Saint Laurent, Wing fulfilled a wish she’s had since childhood—of heading to Europe and conquering the runway like her favorite supermodel and fellow Caribbean, Joan Smalls. “For this island girl, traveling to Paris, working, and meeting new people is a dream come true,” shared Wing preshow. “This is my first big international job, and I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to be involved with such an iconic fashion house.”

Intrigued by fashion from an early age, Wing sought out a modeling workshop to get her foot in the door. She was signed locally after winning the workshop’s talent search, then internationally once an agent at IMG received her pictures from a friend. Since then, Wing has been on the fast track toward success. While her dramatic good looks make her a natural for high fashion, she was bullied by classmates as a kid. “In primary school, I was called ugly,” said Wing, who took the taunts in stride. “[I like] seeing my confidence grow with every new challenge—I’m a world away from the shy girl I was a few years ago.” Proving herself with one of Paris’s most coveted gigs only adds to her self-esteem—“that a fashion house as big as Saint Laurent saw potential in me is really rewarding,” she said.

Currently acclimating to her new career, Wing is adjusting to the industry’s breakneck pace. “The competition [can be challenging] when there are so many models and only a few spots for the taking!” she said. Ambitious with a genuine love of clothing and the artistry behind it, she’s been inspired by the trajectory of women like Smalls. “Her body of work over her career is outstanding,” said Wing. “I can only hope I will have the same longevity in the industry.” With an A-list wish list of future collaborators—Steven Meisel, Pat McGrath, Edward Enninful—Wing has the potential to provide the Caribbean with its next breakout model. It’s a role she seems ready to take on. “We’ll have to see what happens in the coming months!” Wing added. That said, she’s not letting the spotlight get to her head: “[You have to] always remember where you came from and give back whenever and wherever you can.” Spoken like a true star on the rise.

How to Take the Slacker’s Board Shorts From Beach to Street

Here’s a sartorial Debbie Downer: After Labor Day, your beloved monogrammed bikinis and high-cut, hip-grazing one-pieces will be shelved for starched button-ups and air conditioner–appropriate cardigans. Summer is coming to an end. If you’re looking to give it one last hurrah, try stepping out in deliciously sleazy board shorts. They’re meant for sand-strewn slackers who don’t want to change into day clothes after an ocean swim. Think beer-guzzling frat boys, tired dads, and hacky sack enthusiasts. Given their reputation, breezy board shorts are far from appropriate for an après-beach cocktail party, but there is a chic way to wear them. The best way to elevate them is with a polished top. Try a standout blue button-down, a nubby sweater to beat the coastal chill, or simply, a white sleeveless tank with frilly sleeves. Want to go the extra mile? Swap out those flip-flops for kitten-heel booties or graphic sneakers—surf’s up, at least for now.

Jackie O’s Best Vacation Looks Are as Flawless as Summer Style Gets

“The only routine with me is no routine at all,” the iconic Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis once stated. But frankly, and with all due respect—we don’t believe her! No one wakes up looking the way she did, especially not when they are on vacation. There had to have been a method to her exquisite madness—if by madness we mean locating, and then donning, the perfect big—but not too big!—sunglasses, the loveliest wind-defying silk head scarf, the just-jaunty-enough basket bag, and always, always the flawless string of pearls. (“Pearls are always appropriate,” the former First Lady once opined, and we can just hear her offering this in that whispery, utterly distinctive voice.)

In the many years that she dwelt in the public eye—from the 1947–1948 social season, when she was “Debutante of the Year,” to 1953, when she married John F. Kennedy, to 1968, when she stunned the world by marrying Aristotle Onassis, we have studied with open-mouthed admiration her incomparable style.

Printed cotton frocks in Hyannis! White trousers and dark tees in Capri! Not-too-skimpy black bikinis in Skorpios!

“I want to live my life, not record it,” the great lady purportedly said. But luckily for us (if not for her), photographers captured her every step of the way, and we have the results to admire forever.

In celebration of what would have been her 88th birthday, our roster of Jackie-inspired vacation fashions.

Rihanna and Her New Boyfriend Have Already Mastered Couples Style

Rihanna’s summer has been eventful. Having spent the last few months continuing her collaboration with Manolo Blahnik, dropping a song-of-the-summer contender with DJ Khaled, and clapping back on her haters via Instagram, the bad gal has more than earned some R&R. On an Internet-breaking getaway to Spain this week with her new boyfriend, Hassan Jameel, Riri has both enjoyed some downtime and debuted an eye-catching approach to couples style. Stepping out yesterday for a coffee run, Rihanna wore an oversized Céline striped blouse and matching pants while carrying a black Alpha-Industries bomber alongside her latte. The casual yet luxurious look coordinated with Jameel’s choice of grey T-shirt, Knicks cap, and jeans, suggesting a duo already in sync.
Rihanna has long been skilled at turning low-key moments into style statements: her inventive use of staples like denim and jersey have inspired countless imitators. On this vacation, she’s kept the stakes high with cat-eye sunglasses and glamorous waves, but the relaxed, pajama vibes of her latest look show she’s letting her hair down—and enjoying every moment of her new romance.

The Story Behind Pippa Middleton’s Couture Wedding Tiara

When Pippa Middleton married James Matthews in Englefield, England last weekend, the grand occasion felt fit for a modern-day princess. Though the St. Mark’s ceremony didn’t involve the same pomp and circumstance as her sister Kate Middleton and Prince William’s royal wedding, it still demanded its own fairy-tale fashion moment: a bespoke Giles Deacon dress and custom Robinson Pelham tiara, which glimmered prettily as she walked down the aisle.

As Robinson Pelham cofounders Zoe Benyon and Vanessa Chilton share exclusively with Vogue, the piece was meant to radiate romantic simplicity, in keeping with the wedding theme—a task Pippa entrusted to the British jewelers, after witnessing their skill at her sister’s 2011 nuptials. Then, Kate had commissioned a set of acorn and oak leaf earrings—a nod to the Middleton family’s coat of arms—and a pear-cut drop style for Pippa, who served as maid of honor (thoughtfully, Pippa recycled them as her “something old” on Saturday).

Ultimately, Pippa wore a maidenhair fern tiara and matching headpiece, crafted with diamonds and 18-karat white gold. Milliner Stephen Jones designed a veil that wouldn’t steal focus from either, and Robinson Pelham ensured both items would complement her lace dress. “It’s all about balance,” Benyon says. “You do not want the dress and tiara to fight, so one has to take a back seat.” Perhaps more importantly, they were tailored to Pippa herself. “Tiaras are like sunglasses; not every one suits every shape of face,” Benyon adds. For example, a low-height tiara will flatter a slimmer face, she explains, while a taller version is ideal for those with strong cheekbones; a round or heart-shape face would benefit from height at the center. When in doubt, Chilton suggests trying different silhouettes, from a regal kokoshnik to a simple 1920s headband and everything in between.

Certainly, there’s plenty to try at Robinson Pelham’s boutique in London’s Chelsea neighborhood. They’ve been crafting couture pieces for two decades, though it’s worth noting that there has been a significant uptick in requests—a trend that is in no small part due to the Middleton sisters. “We have made and resurrected more tiaras in the past five years than in the 10 years before that,” Benyon says. And why not? After all, you don’t have to be a duchess—or a Middleton—to create your own crowning glory.

Emma Watson Takes a Page From Kate Middleton’s Playbook

If one Hollywood actress is the embodiment of Livia Firth’s Green Carpet Challenge, it’s Emma Watson. Last night at the New York City premiere of The Circle, the It Brit donned Burberry’s certified organic, Italian-woven silk dress and proved how easy it is to be green. Watson has become the de facto face for eco-fashion lately. The Beauty and the Beast film tour saw her wear a similar silhouette from Emilia Wickstead that was equally sustainable, along with an upcycled frock from Elie Saab Couture.

On the style front, tonight’s look took a page from another fashion-forward Brit’s playbook: Kate Middleton. Much like the Duchess of Cambridge’s Barbara Casasola dress, Watson flashed a hint of skin at the décolletage and a discreet side slit. Monique Péan’s gray fossilized dinosaur bone and pietersite earrings punctuated the outfit with ethical sparkle, while a bordeaux clutch completed the look—Old Hollywood glamour with a modern touch.

Happy Birthday, Chaka Khan! Still “Ain’t Nobody” Like the Queen of Funk

You don’t earn the title “Queen of Funk” by being a wallflower. Chaka Khan, who turns 64 today, has spent her life front and center. From her days as a teen Black Panther to her performances alongside contemporaries like Prince and Stevie Wonder, Khan is a fascinating presence on and off stage. Blessed with powerhouse vocals and an outsize persona to match, Khan is fearless—and you can also see that in her style.

Long before she was considered a diva, Khan dressed the part. The child of artists, Khan stayed true to her counterculture upbringing in the ’70s, with flowing maxi dresses and flower-child hair accessories adorning her afro. Committed to creativity from a young age, she performed in local groups while growing up in Chicago’s Hyde Park before establishing herself as a singer and songwriter. Her colorful onstage looks evolved with each decade. Midriff-baring spangled blouses and jumpsuits adorned with feathers made up her sultry onstage wardrobe during concerts with Rufus. In the ’80s, bustier tops and bright ruffles showed off her curves while she serenaded audiences with songs like “I Feel For You.” Nineties style meant bigger hair, candy-colored furs, and an array of sequin-covered tour costumes.

These days Khan still brings the glamour. Currently in the middle of a world tour, she hasn’t lost any of the spark that made her dynamic, and her sartorial choices remain daring. Taking to the stage on the Soul Train Cruise in March, her look was all about hair, heels, and a killer corset—because once a diva, always a diva. Here, a look back at her most memorable fashion moments.

Jennifer Lopez’s Most Breathtaking Oscars Fashion Moments

She might have referred to herself as ”Jenny from the block,” but Jennifer Lopez married a bling-y aesthetic with Hollywood glamour whenever she took to the Oscars red carpet. While the late ’90s saw Lopez favor fitted styles from Badgley Mischka, punctuated with sheer, metallic, or embellished elements, it wasn’t until 2001 that Lopez began to evolve stylistically by donning Chanel’s grandiose couture confection featuring a sheer bodice flowing into a full ball skirt.

Lopez put out a similar vibe with her blush pink Versace princess dress (2002) but then quickly shifted gears, donning fluid frocks from Valentino (2003) and a vintage Jean Dessès number (2006) for a more ethereal finish on the carpet. Marrying these aesthetics in 2007, Lopez went for full-on glamour in Marchesa’s embellished neo-Grecian style to hint at her growing bump with twins Emme and Maximilian.

In 2010, Lopez reclaimed her perch as one of the Oscar’s most studied stars by wearing Armani Privé’s sculptural and frothy dress. Two years later, to present onstage, she chose a body-hugging Zuhair Murad ensemble that updated the sultry appeal of Old Hollywood icons like Ava Gardner and Rita Hayworth. But it was 2015’s opulent Elie Saab dress that really highlighted how much Lopez has mastered the art of red carpet dressing: The gown’s blush tones warmed her skin, while its delicate dazzle gave the singer a confident glow.

Oliver Hudson Pokes Fun at Those Brad Pitt and Kate Hudson Romance Rumors

Don't believe everything you read at the grocery store.

It's not a shock when some tabloids try to grab shoppers' attention with their splashy headlines. But it is surprising when a Hollywood star decides to address them.

On Friday night, Oliver Hudson came across a Star magazine cover that claimed Brad Pitt was moving into Kate Hudson's house.

What came next was a sarcastic post that suggests the rumors are just that, rumors.

"Yeah and it's been hell!! He's messy as s--t! He drinks out of the f--king carton and leaves the door open when he's taking a dump!! And this is when he's at MY house!!!" Oliver wrote to his followers. "He's already calling me brother and has driven a wedge between myself and my real brother Wyatt who now won't speak to me.. he insists my kids call him uncle B and lost my youngest at the Santa Monica pier for 2 days.. thank God for Amber Alert.."

He added, "My mom's overtly flirting with him! She's wearing these little nighties around the house now?! But ALL DAY!! Like at 3pm! And Pa just keeps saying ‘All right!! It's Brad Pitt!!'"

Tabloids have been speculating about Kate and Brad's relationship status for several weeks. While the pair hasn't been photographed, it hasn't stopped paparazzi from asking family members about the rumors.

Recently, Goldie Hawn was asked if she's thrilled that her daughter is dating Brad. She simply laughed it off when leaving the Brentwood Country Mart.

As for Oliver, he's taking another route thanks to social media. And his famous friends including stylist Jamie Mizrahi are calling it "genius."

"Anyway not going well.. so BP.. it's time to move out man.. I need my life back dog.. I'll smoke one more bowl and then get the f--k out.. we thank you..," he wrote. "Oh and I found your medical bracelet so I'll get that back to you.. ok.."
